Tips from the field

IDEA #1: Use the alerts feature to drive eLearners to your store.
The eLearning software allows you to create an alert that every eLearner sees each and every time they log in. Post information here such as

"Make an appointment with your instructor for a custom gear-fitting session - offered free for eLearners."

Or, "Your friends and family can try a Discover Scuba experience free - ask us how."

IDEA #2: Who are the eLearners in your neighborhood?
Invite your staff to think of people who might be ideal eLearning candidates. These might be people who work off-hours such as: nurses, ski instructors, bartenders, lifeguards, etc. Offer a prize to whomever can come up with the most ideas or bring in the first eLearner.

IDEA #3: Utilize the student completion email.
When an eLearner completes their knowledge development, the system automatically sends them an email. Under "User Maintenance" you can customize these message. In addition to congratulating the student on their achievement, offer an incentive for them to sign up for an upcoming dive trip or the Master Scuba Diver Challenge.
