PADI's Go Pro Challenge 2008

PADI's Go Pro Challenge is on for 2008.

Last year's winner was Trux Terkla from TL Sea Diving in Washington state. Barry and I are confident the talented PADI Northwest members can keep the trophy in our region this year too - whaddaya think?

Go PRO Challenge Testimonial Contest:
Describe why you became a PADI Pro with a video, slide show or captioned photograph and win $10,000. The judges are looking for passionate, heartfelt testimonials. Watch the videos from last year's top finalists.

To qualify, you must earn one professional level rating during 2008 and get your entry to PADI by 15 September 2008. The top submissions will be shown at the DEMA Show (Vegas, baby) in October. Details on how to enter can be found in the official rules .

Go PRO Challenge Professional Rating Contest:
The Professional Rating (aka "points contest") has been updated for 2008.The point system has been re-calibrated so active instructors can receive bonus points.

There's also a new prize: the PADI Professional who accumulates the most points wins a DOXA dive watch - valued at $2,590 US. I grabbed this photo of the website, so please read the Go Pro Professional Rating contest official rules for specifics on the DOXA watch and additional information.

But wait there's more . . .
PADI Pros earning at least 100 points can receive a limited edition PADI Pro jacket - customized with your top rating.
