If you haven't booked your flight for DEMA 2008, give kayak.com a try.Named "Best of the Web" by BusinessWeek, Forbes, TIME, Travel + Leisure Magazine and US News & World Report, kayak.com is one of my all-time favorite websites.
In addition to searching fares from all the major airlines' websites, kayak.com checks Orbitz, Priceline, Expedia, and Travelocity. It's one-stop-shopping!
Click on the screen grab to see sample search results from Seattle to Las Vegas. Results can be sorted by price, # of stops, departure time, landing time etc.
My favorite feature is create an email alert. I recently used this to save $60 on a flight to Portland.
First you set up the email alert. Here's what the form looks like:
Once a day or once a week (you choose) kayak emails you the cheapest flight available. They also include a graph showing whether the price is trending up or down. It's like watching the stock market.
Kayak.com is my personal favorite, but there are a lot of others out there. Know of a website with hot travel deals? Leave us a comment!
