Scuba Diving in Antarctica

Over the weekend I saw a documentary called Encounters at the End of the World. The filmmaker, Werner Herzog, was inspired to make a film about Antarctica after a friend sent him some incredible underwater images.



The film is basically about the life of scientists in Antarctica. In addition to the dive team, Herzog interviews volcanologists, geologists, and a crazy penguin guy. The segment on diving is one of the longest sections and it's absolutely-freakin'-beautiful.
