Are You a Lefty?

I was reading an article in Wired the other day about the surprising random connections between people and their habits. For example:

  • If you are an only child, you're more likely to be a cat person.
  • If you have an MBA, you're more likely to prefer blue ink pens then black ones.

This got me thinking: it seems like there are a lot of left-handed people here at PADI. I wondered if - for whatever reason - there are more left-handed scuba instructors than the general population.

So, if you're a Divemaster, AI or Instructor, please take a moment to vote in my quasi-scientific study. I'll post the results in September.

Scuba Professionals Only: Are you left handed?

Yes, and I believe that makes it easier to adapt to driving from the right hand side of the car in those countries (Ireland, UK, etc) utilizing the left lanes of traffic. Dive everywhere!

Hmm what is lefthanded? I write with my right hand, i hold a tennis racket with my right hand, i kick a ball with my left foot, i swing at a baseball lefthanded, i catch it righthanded and throw it lefthanded.. what does this make me? Left or righthanded or bi-handed?

Years ago, there were ten of us working at the dive shop. All of the men were lefties and the two girls were right-handers. Interestingly, that was quite a magical period!
